As I was riding back from the movie theatre tonight I noticed beams of light coming from around Castro. I cycled down a darker, less brightly lit street and saw something I haven't seen for ages: a night sky! Complete with shooting stars, the aforementioned search lights (which I am told are from a truck outside the Monte Carlo), some very sharp constellations and bands of backlit clouds.
