I have got to get out of Britain, now officially the country with the most erroded personal privacy.
The only thing which Britain does right, in this respect, is having lots of CCTV cameras in public places. But even then, they get it wrong (in my opinion) since those cameras are monitored by humans. They should, I think, be automated, simply recording so that in case an event happens, there is a log of it. Instead, they are very poorly used to catch crime in progress, which makes their operation more expensive without, as far as I can tell, particularily increasing their usefulness.
Now the question is, is anywhere getting better, giving more freedom to the people? I know the US isn't; since the World Trade Center and Pentagon terrorist attacks last year, the US has been adding more and more rules to snoop on its citizens.
