2008-10-01 03:50 UTC Kinesis Corporation discriminates against potential customers
As many of you know, I don't have a phone. At all. No landline, no cell phone.
This week I tried to buy a new Kinesis keyboard to help with the pain in my wrists. They refused my order, because I couldn't give them a phone number. First they claimed it was because of UPS policy, and that they couldn't ship anything without a phone number, and then they claimed it was their own policy — they have a policy to discriminate against potential customers who don't have phones.
I receive packages all the time from UPS, USPS, and FedEx, shipped from retailers all over the Internet. But apparently I'm not good enough for Kinesis. I asked them what phone number they would like me to give them, but they ignored the question.
I ended up buying a cheaper keyboard from another retailer.
